“Struggles waiting his turn, especially when playing games or at the play park.”
Tell us what they love, and what they’re struggling with. We’ll write a magical story with them at the centre.

The supermarket tantrum. The 8am 'I'm not going.' The toy that cannot, under any circumstances, be shared.
Each story below started life as a questionnaire, before it was lovingly crafted into a magical story. The kind of present that gets kept, not outgrown. What will yours contain?
“Struggles waiting his turn, especially when playing games or at the play park.”
“He's very scared of the dark, and gets upset if someone turns the light off while he's in the room.”
“He's not very good at teamwork, or taking part in group activities.”
“Starting swimming lessons, and scared of the deep end.”
“She struggles being okay with making mistakes. When she does things wrong she gets sad.”
“Needs to learn to be kind and gentle with smaller kids.”
“Squishes insects because she doesn't like them. We've tried telling her it's unkind.”
“Struggles talking in front of people — she's a bit shy.”
“Struggles with making mistakes, and gets upset when things go wrong.”
“Smashes up other children's towers and models at nursery.”
Tell us one thing they are struggling with, and what they love. We will write the book that has never existed before — theirs, and no one else’s.
Start Their StoryWhat they love, and what they’re wrestling with. See their character, and choose their story — all before you pay.
We write and illustrate the whole book from scratch — every page guided by a qualified early-years teacher.
Approve it, change it, or cancel. Nothing goes to print until you're happy.
Printed and posted from the UK.
Unlike most other custom children’s books, we have a real, qualified human involved at every step. We just use AI to speed things up.
The thing you keep repeating lands differently when they see it happen to them. No lecture, no bedtime stand-off.
Teachers and therapists call this bibliotherapy: a story gives a child a safe place to rehearse something difficult.
Their face, drawn from your photo. They aren't reading about a brave child, they're reading about themselves being brave.
Psychologists call this the self-reference effect: we pay closer attention to, and remember more of, what is about us.
Dinosaurs, football, mermaids, diggers. We build the story into the world they'd choose anyway — so they're fully interested in what happens.
Educational researchers call this situational interest: attention follows what a child already loves.
Our crafting-obsessed boy could not BELIEVE IT when he got this book. It was an instant fave. Everything is perfect, the characters, the story. I am so glad we took a chance on this when we came across it on instagram.
Since starting nursery, Riley has become a bit of a nightmare when it comes to squishing bugs in the yard. She just hates them, but instead of being scared, she squashes them!! We created this book for her, featuring her grandma which shows her why bugs are so important, and she absolutely loves it. She certainly leaves ladybirds alone now!! Worth every penny, beautiful book.
Nora was terrified of having her hair washed — full operatic meltdown, every single bath. Her story had a mermaid who loved the waterfall. We're not 100% there yet, but the screaming's stopped. Small wins are everything at this age.
Bit cynical about whether a book would do anything for a kid who survives on chicken nuggets, but this book made trying new foods feel like a game. Every time he's struggling we get this out and it always seems to help. Great service.
My partner has bought personalised books from other places before, but they never look much like harry. Not enough for him to really notice anyway. Gogofable is a different thing altogether, the illustration captured him perfectly and the story was completely one-off for him. i don't think they re-use anything. Will be buying more

On the outside, it's just like any other children's book. The only difference is the adventure inside.
You’ll have their character and their four story ideas in a few minutes, before you pay. Once you’ve chosen, your finished book is usually written, illustrated, printed and posted within three working days. Digital books arrive even sooner.
Most are pre-written templates with your child's name or face dropped in. We write the whole story — and illustrate every page — from scratch, around your child and what you'd like them to learn. No two GoGoFable books are the same.
You'll read the finished book — every page — before we print anything. If something isn't right, tell us and we'll change it. Changed your mind completely? Cancel for a full refund any time before you approve, because nothing has been printed yet.
Once you approve, it goes to print as a one-off book with your child in it, so from that point we put things right with a revision or a reprint rather than a refund.
Yes. One child is the star of the story, and the second appears alongside them as a supporting character — their name, their likeness, their part in it. There’s no extra charge.
Yes — before you pay. You’ll meet their character, drawn from your photo, and read four story ideas written for them. You choose which one we write. Nothing is charged until you’ve seen it.
Share a photo when you order and we capture their likeness — hair, skin tone, all of it — in our illustration style. Rather not share a photo? Just describe them and we'll bring them to life.
Completely. We use your photos only to create the book, and we delete every image the moment it ships — we don't keep any of them, ever.
We use it only to draw your child as a character, and we delete it when your book is dispatched. It is never used for anything else.
Not at the moment — we print and post from the UK, to UK addresses only. If you’re buying for someone abroad, send it to a UK address and take it with you.
